Today it was raining almost all day so pups spent some time indoors. We introduced them to raw turkey necks, and oh boy, they acted like little piranhas.
Tomorrow pups are going to be eight weeks old. Yesterday they worked a fresh liver drag and all of them were really good.We are very happy with this litter.

Do they have homes yet? Our huntingseason for deer is to end of January. But last year it was to mid Nov because of a lot of snow and cold. Many years before we have very little snow and we hunted to end Jan.
You have a long hunting season in comparison to ours.
We don't let our puppies go to their new homes until they are around 10 weeks old. We work with them, observe them, and match puppies to new owners. At eight weeks we don't know enough about the pups to make a good decision. Even though this litter seems very uniform on the outside and they all show good promise for tracking and hunting, they all have different behavioral tendencies.
We let the pups go to their new home from 8 weeks. I think 10 weeks is better as you say. Tomorrow, tomorrow ....:-)
