Two litters meet face to face

We knew that this would happen sooner or later. Yesterday we got a different type (buckle) collars for P-litter so we could distinguish them easily from G-litter. Today the pups had a chance for the first time to mingle. First picture shows pups on the opposite sides of the gate.

Then the gate was open and P-pups came for a visit. Even though I think that in the long run Gilda's pups are going to be larger, now it is not the case. The G-litter is 6 days younger and the pups are somewhat smaller.
Fifteen pups spend around 20 minutes together. The visit went well though there was a lot of dominating going on. Gilda's pups tried to dominate Kenna's pups and vice versa. Actually there was no clear pattern to the pups' behavior, and I felt that individual personalities played a larger role in pups' behavior than what litter they came from.

Here we see Gilda's purple male trying to dominate Keena's green male.
All in all it was a good new experience. Afterwards Gilda's pups had their first crate training session.
